Diablo 3 On PS4 Will Not Require Internet

When Diablo 3 was released on PC back in May of last year people hated the fact that the game required a constant internet connection to play. While this requirement has not changed for the PC platform of Diablo 3 player's Blizzard has announced some new features the game will implement on the PlayStation 3 and 4.

In an interview with GameTrailers John Hight from Sony and Chris Metzen from Blizzard shared the new changes that Diablo 3 will offer to player's very soon. Of course the biggest change that player's will be looking forward to is will allow for offline gameplay instead of requiring a constant internet connection like the PC version required. Along with offline gameplay John Hight confirmed some new additions. "You can have four people on the same screen - no split screen, we just zoom the camera out. Or if you're offline." Along with these announcements of the changes they revealed that more will be revealed at PAX East and will also be playable there as well.

All this news has caught gamer's attention and brought out both the lovers and haters of Diablo 3. Here's to hoping Blizzard has got some more pretty cool additions up their sleeves that they will reveal at PAX East.

Cost Of Games Won't Increase For PlayStation 4

Upon the unveiling of Sony's next generation console the PlayStation 4 gamer's began to worry that with this next generation console that the prices on games will be increasing as well. Well fellow gamer's we have nothing to fear! Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton shared that Sony will not be increasing the purchase price by $10 like gamer's had feared.

Jack Tretton shared with CNBC that Sony plans on maxing out the cost or purchase for a game at $60. He says "I think people are willing to pay if they see value there and I think there's more choice than ever before for consumers. We're going to welcome free-to-play models; games from 99 cents up to those $60 games. But if you really see where the heat is for the true gamer on the console it's still that big-form experience that typically runs upwards of $50 million to develop and will justify that $60 price point and will give people hours and hours of gameplay on a daily basis for months and years to come."

This bit of news is great for gamer's itching to get their hands on the next generation consoles. One legitimate concern was if the cost of games would increase as well and thankfully even though the hardware is increased making the starting development periods for studios a little more difficult the price of games won't change for gamer's.

Watch Dogs Coming To All Platforms This Year (Rumor)

Ever since last years E3 gamer's have been anticipating the fantastic looking game known as Watch Dogs. Gamer's were blown away by the potential gameplay it has to offer and the endless possibilities that players can chose to handle situations. One of the main concerns for the game was could this gorgeous looking game be released on current generation consoles, or will it be on the next generation consoles alongside a high end PC?

A rumor has hit the online world today saying that the game will be released this Holiday season on all console platforms. Keep in mind that this is just a rumor that stated due to Kotaku obtaining marketing materials for the game. Ubisoft has not yet confirmed whether or not these rumors are actually true, but Ubisoft did confirm last year that the game will be coming to Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

As more and more anticipation build for Watch Dogs gamer's are craving more information about the game. All we can do right now is sit back and hope that the game will be released this Holiday season.

Gabe Newell and J.J. Abrams Look Into Movie Production Together

Today during one of DICE's keynote conversations between Gabe Newell and famous movie director J.J. Abrams we got some pretty exciting news. They announced they both look forward to collaborating on a single project and making it into a reality. Gabe Newell said "We're going to try and figure out if we can make a Half-Life movie or a Portal movie together."

They followed this up by illustrating how they would like to do this by using scenes from each other's work to show how player agency can augment storytelling. They continued this by saying that films can use "forced" foreshadowing to set up later events. They finished up this by saying that they would want to focus more on the dialogue more seriously.

To both a gamer and movie fan this news is just phenomenal! People may recall that J.J. Abrams is the director behind incredibly successful movies such as Super 8, Star Trek, and the upcoming films Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Wars: Episode VII. The idea of J.J. Abrams directing a movie involving Valve and their most beloved games is just so amazing. I look forward to seeing what J.J. Abrams and Gabe Newell begin to work on in the future and to see a great video game movie finally be produced!

DmC Doesn't Sell As Well As Planned

The recently released Devil May Cry has had a bit of a rocky start to say the least for the game. It was announced today that since the games release on January 15th the game has shipped only 1 million units on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. These numbers do not include the sales on the PC platform as well, but things aren't looking to good for the developer Ninja Theory right now.

The estimated sales numbers for the game was 2 million by March 31st of this year. Since the news hit today Ninja Theory has slashed its sales projections to 1.2 million by the same time frame. These sales numbers come at an even greater hit due to the fact that the recent Devil May Cry 4 had shipped 2 million units in the first two weeks of release alone.

Since the announcement from Ninja Theory that this new Devil May Cry was going to be a reboot in the franchise people have been very skeptical. People don't really know where Ninja Theory plans to go after this and were not sure if Ninja Theory even knows where to go. This can definitely be viewed as a sign that Ninja Theory needs to change up their strategy with upcoming games and figure out how to win back the hearts and sales of gamer's.
